Stantz is creator, artist and musician, David Mackenzie. He is based in Bristol and creates content that tells important stories about modern life. He brand is about growth and self discovery. He is a keen meditator and an avid reader. He believes in music and art being crucial contributors to raising the frequency of consciousness in human beings on the planet.

David's music is a resource for the listener, a connection through time and space and a source of positive inspiration.

There have been points in David's life where he felt alone and misunderstood. He was raised in a family where serious mental health issues were rife and witnessed the lack of resources his parents had in their darkest times. As a child, David recognised his mother’s suffering and wanted to help her. Later in his teenage years he was isolated and didn’t fit in, and experienced severe bullying. David hated school and authority, believing the people in charge to be misinformed and that the school system lacked purpose and inspiration. It was at this point when music became a powerful resource for him, and a source of euphoria and escape. In music, David could find the form of expression he needed and begin to process and understand the deep range of emotions he was experiencing. He suddenly felt he had friends in the records he listened to, people who would be there for him whenever hr needed to feel, explore, learn or relate. There were people like him out there, rebelling against the injustices and inequalities in society; He wasn’t alone.

Since then, David has dedicated his life to giving this gift of musical resource back and being there for listeners in the way that other artists were there for him.
